Tracking Hate and Asia/Pacific Islander America

In response to reports of increased hate inflicted on people of color in the United States, Asian Americans Advancing Justice, a national affiliation of five leading civil rights organizations, has begun tracking and vetting hate incidents targeting the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community. Asia Pacific Forum Radio speaks to John C. Yang about Stand Against Hatred and the broader implications for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community. The website is a coordinated effort of the Asian Americans Advancing Justice Affiliation, a group of five organizations of which Advancing Justice is one.

Over the weekend, the United States launched missile strikes against Syria- the strikes were in response to sarin and chemical attacks on civilians allegedly committed by pro-Assad forces and killing more than 70 people. Asia Pacific Forum Radio plays a rebroadcast originally aired on October 26, 2015 of a segment with Rafif Jouejati, the founder and Director of FREE-Syria. Jouejati provides a base analysis of understanding the complex crisis in Syria- a crisis that has been evolving over the course of decades.
